uh i knw when some ppl ask me (or screw me) i screw u back =]

and yes i use '- -' alot when i talk to u. And i get irritated when so many ppl ask me stuff. And when ppl ask me to 'check' their work.

Extras~

1.CONCLUSION is put at the end of the folio. Meaning after part 3.

2. AND as i said, we only do the tables and graph for 2a and 2b and NOT 2c.
Maybe some of you dont have the full question paper. But part 2c's question is to
'prove the generalisation in a and b'. SO we dont have to do the table/graphs.
For 2a and 2b, they ask u to STATE the RELATIONSHIP between all the semicircles.

3. Oh and i forgot, this part is for conclusion, and once u've gotten your graph. You should tell the relationship shown in the graph, after each graph.

So, you can say like EXAMPLE: 'PQR and BCR is inversely proportional' ( look at ur graph and think ty)

EDIT#1:

Maybe most of you are confused what i'm crapping in number '2'. It's cause when Mr Ragu photostat-ed the question paper he did not photostat the table for 2a and question 2b and 2c.
IN the full question paper, a table is given in number 2a. AND the value of d1=1 and d2=9 is given in the FIRST ROW.

So, I think all of us have to put our 1st row as d1=1 and d2=9 (that's what i did)
If you dunt want to follow it cause you did it alrdy. Dont ask me 'so how so how la' or 'no laaa they didnt give us the value'.

Some people are doing different values by using decimals which i think is okae =]
And for those who mayb juz think about copying d1 =1,2,3,4....
I duno about you coz mayb teacher will see all your values,tables and graphs are the same.

As I said, for 2a, your d1 MUST be SMALLER than d2.

IF u do d1= 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and d2= 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1... Your graph will get screwed and will bend to all sorts of places =O

Same with 2b. d1 is SMALLER than d2. And d2 is SMALLER than d3

Anyway, once you've done the table. You HAVE to BORDER IT.
If you do not border it. When you print the table it wont have the lines.
So i'll teach you how to.

Bordering the table~

Step 1: First, highlight your WHOLE table

(Yes, i erased the values. Its NOT your eyes that are spoilt)

Step 2: Click the arrow that points downwards beside the 'border' button


If you see, the mouse is on the 'borders' button. SRY i have no brains =/ make sure u click the arrow beside it (right of it).

Step 3: A browser thingy will drop. Choose 'All Borders'



Step 4: Click the borders button now =]



And your table should now be 'border-ed' yaay xD

Guide on Addmaths project (conclusion)

Okae... I've done my addmaths folio based on what I think and it may not be correct so if you plan to follow me I will not be held responsible? =]
(The table Mr Ragu did and passed to me was not correct [I think he divided the wrong stuff])

1. PLEASE dont be so lazy and just copy the values of tables in the screenshots i may put in here.

2. I'm going to put this part (tables and graphs) as my conclusion rather than putting it in my part 2 because in my part 2 I'm sure all of us have done the table in terms of Pi?, and we wouldn't want to screw the whole part 2 so i'll be putting mine in conclusion.

3. We DO NOT have to do this for part 2 (c), part 2c only asks us to prove so I don't think we need to do it. We only need to do the table and graphs for part 2a and 2b.

4. In the table in 2a, the value of d1 SHOULD be smaller than d2, .
And in 2b it is d1 is smaller than d2 which is smaller than d3 ,


Step 1: Fill in the first row wit your descriptions.

Now in ur excel, u click the first box for d2 (if you're following me right the coordinates thingy should be B2. And you should be following me so from now on i will refer to the boxes using their coordinates stuff)

Double click it and enter '=10-a2' . When you are done press enter. Right now your B2 value should be 9 if your d1 is 1 (just put =10-a2 . plz dun copy the ' )

Now, click on the B2 box and click the small box at the btm right and drag it down.




Step 3: For PQR which is the big semicircle with diameter 10cm (use the formula 1/2 x pi x d)

In the C2 box, type '=Pi()*5

( if you need to know why... * is the symbol for times and it is 5 because the diameter is 10/2 so i've already done it for u dun complain ty)

Now, you WILL (not should) get a value of 15.70796, because all of us are starting with d1= 1 and d2=9. For your box in C2. Now. drag the thing again (like just now). Drag it down and your whole column should have the same value = 15.70796

Step 4: For your PAB. Click D2 and enter '=Pi()*a2/2'. Your value should be 1.570796
(Drag the whole thing down again, to apply the formula to all your values. NOTE: For the next steps drag all the things down, i'm tired of repeating it.)

Step 5: For your BCR. Click E2 and enter '=Pi()*b2/2' .
Your value should be:
14.13717


Step 6: For PQR/PAB. Click F2 and enter '=c2/d2' (because c2 is under PQR and d2 is under PAB.). It should be 10.

Step 7: For PQR/BCR. Click G2 and enter '=c2/e2'. It should be 1.111111

Step 8: For PAB/BCR. Click H2 and enter '=d2/e2'. Value should be 0.111111

NOTE: All the values is for d1 = 1 and d2 = 9. You can get the value for the whole table when you DRAG it down.

Right, your table for 2a is done. Now, for the graph.

How to do graph~

Step 1: Highlight the column that you want to make a graph. In this case, you are making graphs for PQR/PAB, PQR/BCR and PAB/BCR.

First, highlight the PQR/PAB column.



Step 2: You can click the 'chart wizard' button or if you cannot find it go to 'insert' and click 'charts'

OR

Step 3: Click the 'XY (scatter)' and then click the top right picture. Then, click FINISH. (dont be so smart and click 'next' 'next')

AND THEN

Step 4: The graph will come out... tada~ and now u can do whatever you want with it.


Yaay XD

Step 5: REMEMBER you have to do graphs for PQR/BCR and PAB/BCR also, so repeat the steps and do the same to get your graphs.
